The Early Literacy Task Force began meeting in the 2022-2023 school year.  The Teams goal is to support the CJUSD vision where we believe every student has the right to be a proficient reader by third grade and a literate graduate.  The work of the team includes:

• Understand the research around early literacy

• Visiting sites that are successful and reviewing their literacy plans

• Provide the professional learning needed to reach the vision for literacy

• Develop a District Literacy Action Plan to guide the work of the team
