Hello parents! We had a wonderful first week! There were a few tears, but they stopped within minutes of being in the classroom. The children are adjusting to the new routines of the classroom and seem very happy to be here. This week we were learning the new routines of the classroom such as lining up and putting our things away. We started our All About Me theme.We discussed how God made each child unique and gave them gifts to share with others. He also gave us our bodies, with all our senses to learn about the world around us. We will continue this theme throughout the month. Our morning circle included the pledge of allegiance, introduction to the Hail Mary, Glory Be, Our Father, and the Guardian Angel Prayer. You will be so proud of them by mid year they will be able to say them with me! We had our first music class with Mrs Carrier and went to the gym for Storytime Movement.
Here are a few reminders for next week. Please place all water bottles and snacks on the side pockets of school bags
labeled with your child’s name. If a snack needs an ice pack, put it in the lunchbox. When possible please do not send your child in with buttons or snaps on their pants. If you’ve not sent in your family and an individual picture of your child, please send it in next week. Cares pick up will be in the Saint Dennis building. Please remember to send a fork or spoon if needed for lunch. Also remember to cut food in small bites for your child. When the children are talking with their friends,they tend to not be mindful when eating. Thank you for sending in all your supplies. It is much appreciated! Have a great weekend!
