Lina has been a research consultant for EAFIT University, examining the landscape of corporate philanthropy in Colombia.
Her research lines include (i) the analysis of Civil Society Organizations in Mexico and (ii) volunteering activity for the Philanthropy Commons Project.
For more than 15 years, she has served in different capacities at organizations such as Mercy Corps - Colombia, Atlas Corps, Fundación Agenda Colombia, and in several projects in the nexus of philanthropy, international development assistance, and economic and social development.
Lina holds a B.A. and M.A. in Economics from the National University of Colombia (2006) and an MSc. in Development Management from the London School of Economics (2008). This academic training has been fundamental for Lina's understanding of the nonprofit sector's functioning.
