Chris is the lead pastor at Resurrection Philadelphia. Chris grew up around Atlanta and graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.A. in history, soon after marrying his college sweetheart Bonnie. Together they moved to Philadelphia to study at Westminster Theological Seminary, where an invite to a staff dinner persuaded them to take on a part-time job leading the youth ministry at Resurrection (then City Church). Chris graduated from WTS with an M.Div.
Chris became Resurrection’s lead pastor in summer of 2021 and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in Spiritual Formation and Relational Neuroscience through Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Michigan.
Melisa is an ordained minister and certified spiritual director leading her ministry, Inviting Joy. She studied spiritual direction at San Francisco Theological Seminary, which is a part of the University of the Redlands Graduate School of Theology. She desires to help others listen more deeply to God’s voice in their lives, discern their spiritual path, and grow into a greater sense of peace.
Danielle is an elder at Grace Chicago Church, where she has been a member for 20 years. Her professional background is in journalism and corporate communications. For the past eight years, she has led her own consulting practice.
She lives in Chicago with her husband Matt, daughter MaeBelle, son Matthew and dog Louis.
John is the pastor of the First CRC of Detroit in Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan. He has been in ordained ministry since 2013 serving in Colorado, New York, and Michigan. John is ordained in the Reformed Church in America and has served CRC churches for over 6 years.
He longs to teach and lead people and organizations in the midst of doubt, struggles, and despair to know their inherent value and unique gifts given to them because they are so loved by God.
John holds a B.S.E in Engineering Physics and an M. Div from Denver Seminary. He and his wife Rachel have two wonderful daughters.
Michael is an educational designer and strategist who is passionate about building authentic learning experiences that promote lifelong learning, community formation, and systems thinking. Michael has spent the last two decades working and leading in secondary education, college ministry, and church settings.
He has expertise as a classroom teacher, department chair, dean of students, academic technologist, and Chief Innovation Officer. He has also worked in ministry settings as a college campus ministry director, community group leader and trainer, conference speaker, and elder.
Michael holds a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering from Duke University, an M.A. in Educational Technology Leadership from George Washington University, and an M.A. in Theology from Western Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Maggie, live in Denver and have three young sons.
Rachel is a lifelong learner, adventurer, friend, partner, mother, teacher, and 7 on the Enneagram. She’s been on staff at All Souls Church of Boulder since 2014. She is passionate about discovering and exploring faith through the lens of wonder, healing, and finding the childlikeness in all of us. Her mantra is Hold Hope Every Day.
Scott was born in the Philly burbs, but spent most of his growing up years in Western NY. He went to Lancaster Bible College for undergrad and grad school, meeting his wife Lisa their freshman year. While at LBC, Scott and Lisa became friends with Jared and Monica Ayers and the four decided to move to Philly in 2009 together to plant Liberti Center City (which eventually merged with City Church and became Resurrection). Scott, Lisa and their two kids live in Passyunk Square, where they love to take walks, hang out at local parks, and enjoy good food at neighborhood restaurants. When not busy managing Resurrection operations or spending time with his family, Scott enjoys playing soccer in local sports leagues, riding his bike, or (when sitting still) reading a good book.
Christopher is the 9th pastor of Faith Community Reformed Church in Stickney, Il, and has served there since February 2004. He is a native of suburban Cleveland, and a graduate of Hope College (B.A.) and Western Theological Seminary (M.Div.). He, his wife, and daughter live in Stickney with Ernie (the bernedoodle with his own Instagram account @ernietheberniedoodle).
Matt Nault is the founding pastor of Renew Church: a vibrant, diverse faith community in the heart of center-city San Diego. He is passionately committed to starting new, healthy churches that impact the city with Jesus’ resurrection, grace, and renewal.
Matt’s experience includes re-pioneering a chapter of InterVarsity at the University of San Francisco and planting a congregation in the Mission District of San Francisco. He has served on boards relating to development for disadvantaged people and education and serves on the board of North Park Main Street. He’s experienced in business leadership and has been coaching Fortune 500 business executives around the country since 2008. Matt earned degrees in Mass Media Communication and Theology from the University of San Diego as well as an M.Div. from Fuller Theological Seminary.
Matt lives in North Park San Diego with his wife, Florence, and their three boys: Benjamin, Levi, and Joshua. He is an avid open-ocean swimmer, bicycling enthusiast, and self-proclaimed food and beverage connoisseur.
