Equipment for September
For September, students will need a school bag which is big enough for some A4 exercise books, an A5 planner, a reading book and a pencil case. It is important that the students develop organisational routines early on as they will need to have the books they need in their bag for the day and carry them from lesson to lesson.
For PE, students will need to have trainers which have a sturdy sole and good heel support which are also non-marking when used indoors. Plain sports jumpers and plain tracksuit trousers can be worn with a minimal logo/brand. Leggings are also allowed and the same applies for Dance lessons.
For DT, parents/carers will be asked for a voluntary contribution of £10 to cover the cost of ingredients and cost of materials for other projects. Y7s will need a plastic container to take home food they have cooked in lessons. They may be asked to bring in specific ingredients to personalise their dishes.
Students will need their own pencil case with their pens and pencils in, spares are always a good idea! At City, we use black and blue ink for writing and purple ink to make changes and improvements to our work. If a student forgets their equipment, they can pick up a pen, pencil or ruler from Standards Gate at Student Entrance every morning. We want to make sure everyone is equipped for learning!
