New this year, all teachers are required to submit ONE weekly highlight of anything that occurred in their program for the week. A picture and a brief caption is provided by the teacher in google classrooms. I take each teachers submission and created a highlight video to post to our CIT website and facebook page. Teachers are required to verify that all media release forms are current and on file. I created last weeks video and released it to the staff on Monday and they had positive feedback. Many teachers showed the video to their class and the students commented that they enjoyed seeing what other programs are doing. CIT SRO, Officer Reeder has been presenting brief presentations on teenage driver safety and dating/domestic violence awareness to CIT programs. The students and staff have been extremely receptive and appreciative of Officer Reeder being in the building.

Last Monday from 6-8pm, eight (8) Cosmetology Students volunteered to provide free haircuts at Paxinosa Elementary in preparation for their school picture day. These CIT students were among many local salons and barber shops to volunteer their time!!! Check out the article in the Morning Call.
