Nail arts has piqued Diva’s interest since she was in Year 5. It also has helped her boost her self-image and confidence as people notice and compliment her nails. As much as she enjoys doing nails, she is concerned about the plastic waste she produces along the process. Therefore, for her personal project she decides to create an alternative plastic nail extension using eco-friendly materials.

The project is challenging for her as she has to experiment to find the right formula to create eco-friendly nail extensions made of biodegradable materials while they still have the same quality and aesthetics as the plastic ones. After multiple trials Diva has managed to produce nail extensions that are easy to apply, water-resistant, hard to break apart, and lightweight, and biodegradable as they dissolve when you boil them.
