Rizky had spent three years living in South Africa. By his time there, Rizky found an interesting fact behind a local cuisine called Bobotie in which Rizky’s background as an Indonesian seamlessly intertwined with the nation’s history in a form of food. Rizky then deeply inspired to expose and promote the multicultural connection between the food and its identity through his personal project.
Rizky chose filmmaking as a way to promote Bobotie’s cultural value to teenagers as his target audience. In his video, Rizky also shows the interesting meaning behind Bobotie’s ingredients and teaches us step-by-step to cook the exotic food.
