To all the C.I.C. students!
The Physical Education area , in the school curriculum, is a great opportunity for the students to develop many positive life personality and social characteristics. The C.I.C. Phys. Ed. is designed to make the students grow in competence and confidence, to take part in a range of physical activities that become a central part of their lives, both in and out of school. A high-quality PE curriculum enables all students to enjoy and succeed in many kinds of physical activities. The C.I.C. Phys.Ed. program is full-filled with discipline, mind/body activities, group games and sports learning.
Physical Education Team
Congratulations to all the Elementary students for such a consistent and powerful physical education year. This school year 2022-23 the Elementary students enjoyed and participated in more than 50 recreational games included the popular Capture the Flag and Dodge Ball games. But at the same time the Elementary students followed the discipline of the class in a great way by being good listeners and following through all the teachers directions. The Elementary students went though the Chargers Fitness Testing twice and showed excellent physical abilities and conditions to get the traditional Ribbons at the end of the school year.
FITNESS TESTING AT C.I.C.
Fitness assessments are a series of tests that measures and monitors students' physical fitness level. The series of tests assess the five components of physical fitness that make up total fitness: cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and body composition. At C.I.C. the G 1-2 students run the Half Mile (4 laps around the main field) and the G 3-4-5 run the Mile (8 laps around the main field). The students do the V-Sits test for flexibility, the Shuttle -Run test for speed-reaction , the Pull-ups and Push-ups for arm strength and the traditional Curl-ups for abdominal exercise.

Everybody need to take advantage of the good weather and traveling around the country and the world by visiting places and enjoying tourist areas where you can walk, swim or cycle/run. Most of the time is good for your health while visiting. If you stay at home then a daily routine of movements while you play a sport is necessary. Sign-up for soccer , basketball, table tennis or just recreational games where you have to move and sweat. If your parents are club members then it´s the best place to do swimming, play soccer and beach tennis as well. Ask your Parents to join your games at home, but moving games like mini soccer or table tennis.
SUMMER ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES!
It’s important to have some form of physical activity every day. Playing sports is a great way to stay healthy and enjoy a fun activity with others. Volleyball, soccer, biking, tennis, and swimming are all great sports to facilitate teamwork, leadership, problem solving, social skills, communication, and relationship building. We also create unforgettable memories with others while playing sports. Remember that safety is important—wear proper attire/protective equipment while playing!
