I am currently a 2nd year student of a Master's degree in Computer Science in the Computer Science Department at CICESE.
I have previous training in Computer Science Engineering, in the area of Human-Computer Interaction Design and Ubiquitous Computing. This experience has prepared me to explore my research interests in HCI, Ubicomp, Motion and Computation, as well as Interactive Sonification.
My current project focuses on evaluating whether interactive sonification can alter the perception of movement qualities of dancers during ballet learning.
This research aims to contribute to the field of Computer Science, specifically in Human-Computer Interaction, with a focus on ballet:
Generate design guidelines to create sound structures that change the way dancers perceive the conscious use of movement qualities in ballet learning.
Generate interactive sonification design guidelines that enable the identification of movement qualities as well as the perception of their conscious use in ballet learning.
To obtain empirical evidence of how interactive sonification of movement qualities can enhance ballet learning.
