Chula Vista Food Service is a family owned company; it all began back in 1981 when Maria de Lourdes Pulido had an idea. Maria, mother of Ralph and George Lutes, taught her children the importance of hard work and consistency. When they were small kids’ they helped Maria with the family business which began as your small neighborhood convenience store. As time passed by, Maria grew a new passion for the wholesale business, which created what we now know as Chula Vista Food Services Inc, When things in our world changed due to COVID-19 and everything seemed unpredictable; Nicholas Luna saw an opportunity to continue his grandmother’s legacy and reincorporated the original business, a grocery store for the community to feel safe and welcomed.
