Greetings Monticello Families! This is Dr. Johnston with our Monticello COVID -19 Update #5.
As part of the District's Tier 3 plan, shared by Superintendent Kirby and scheduled to begin on April 16th, Monticello will provide At Home Weekly Learning Plans per grade level per teacher/subject. These learning plans will provide an overview of the upcoming week's assignments, including the due dates. This weekly plan is intended to make it easier for you and your child or children to keep track of upcoming assignments.
The Tier 3 plan will include daily Student Support Labs to provide additional academic support. Information regarding the Student Support Labs, grading and assignment due dates will be included in the finalized Tier 3 plan later this week.
The Tier 3 plan will also include teachers documenting student participation in their virtual learning environments. It is important that your child log into his/her google classrooms and participate in the educational experiences provided. If you or your child need assistance logging into google classroom please email your child’s respective teacher. The link to Ms. Kirby's message regarding the Tier 3 plan can be found here.
We recognize COVID-19 has led to major disruptions in the lives of our students, families and staff. These include, but are not limited to, school closures, online learning, delayed celebrations, postponed events, illness, and social distancing. All of these events impact the social-emotional needs of our students.
Parents and students can request social emotional support by completing this form. Responses will be routed to district counselors for follow-up.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership with online learning. Please contact me with questions or concerns. Thank you.

Student Support Lab hours are one hour time periods each day in which a student or family can virtually connect with a teacher for learning support. The student support lab will be scheduled daily. Please see the schedule for Student Support Lab times.
The Weekly Schedule outlines what students will be engaged with each week in each subject area. This will help parents and students map out the plan for completing activities and assignments and determining when to reach out for support or enrichment. Questions about the weekly schedule can be directed to the classroom teacher via email or through student support lab hours.
