Design and build a product that solves a problem related to the winter season, or, can be a fun new product to make winter more enjoyable.
There are no limits to your ideas, but some suggestions are:
Helping homeless people in the cold
Food/shelter for winter birds or other wildlife native to our area
An innovative take on sledding
Snowball mechanics
An innovative hot cocoa mug
Never before seen hats, gloves, or sock adaptations
An interactive art display
AR (augmented reality) activity
Something to help when the power goes out
A digital design, story, show episode, etc.
Grow crystal ornaments
Your project must be brought to school and displayed in school through the month of January.
Mr. Molloy will help you locate and setup your display.
Criteria:
Must demonstrate creativity and/or out of the box thinking
Must solve a problem or improve something
Include a QR code linking to a video or website, or, a poster explaining your product
Constraints:
Must be small enough to fit on a desk / small table
Must be school appropriate
Must be student made. Adults can contribute when tools are too dangerous or materials need to be ordered, but kids must do all planning and assembly on their own to the best of their ability.
Using the Design Thinking Process is a time tested way to ensure an innovative, quality product can be created.
Using AI is acceptable, but only so long as it assists a human, and does not replace a human.
