Checklist for School Trips
· Request the medical information via Sally Clarke
· Make an appointment with First aid to discuss medical trip information when its been generated.
· Attend or arrange any training required for you or your staff for the trip. Also training for students if applicable for D of E.
· Check any communication from parents at trip meeting has been relayed to first aid and collect completed medicine consent forms from first aid for any medication taken on the trip.
· Collect first aid kits and any medicines required for the trip including Health Care Plans/over the counter medications either from 3:30pm the day before the trip or from 8:00am on the day of the trip. ( Please be mindful that some medicines may require locking up or being refrigerated)
· Ask the students on the trip to set up the medical I.D. on their phone.
· Ask the students to download first aid apps such as British Red Cross or St John Ambulance.
· During the trip please record any medicines dispensed on the form which needs to be countersigned by another member of staff and also given back to first aid at the end of the trip.
