The Global Read Aloud is a worldwide effort to make connections through reading a common book. In Library Special, I often showcase the authors and books that are selected each year for this initiative. There have been years when we've been able to connect with students in other countries; during other years I share with my students some of the ways the books have connected classes from around the world.
