A micro-credential is a short, competency-based recognition that allows an educator to demonstrate mastery in a particular area related to their practice. Micro-credentialing allows the learner the autonomy to learn what they need to learn, when they want to learn it. Digital badges and Certificates are shareable electronic documentation of this learning.
The Christina School District Instructional Technology Micro-credentials are designed to be:
Personalized: You can create your own learning journey, based on your interests and needs of your classroom, building or district role(s).
Flexible: You can engage when it’s convenient for you. Work by yourself or during PLCs with your colleagues.
Performance-based: Unlike “sit-and-get” certifications, participants will create an artifact to demonstrate master of skills.
Use the badge tracker to add your earned badges. Print out the badge tracker and display in your classroom or outside your classroom door.
You can also share on social media. Tag @CSDTechnology on Twitter and use the hashtag #christinastrong when tweeting.
