Advanced Team Sports

This advanced team sports physical education course is designed for advanced physical education students who choose to continue their educational or physical fitness at a higher level of expertise. Students will obtain advanced knowledge and increase skill performance from previously learned movement concepts and motor skills through the application of advanced techniques, strategies, and theories in a selection of individual and dual sports.

Students who enroll in this course should have received a minimum passing grade of a 70% in their previous physical education classes and have experience on a team sport. Depending on the enrollment, teacher recommendation may be required. Sport/Activity selection may include the following sports as determined by class enrollment: Basketball, Slow-Pitch Softball, Indoor Soccer, Volleyball, Flag Football, Lacrosse and Hockey.

Upon completion of this course student's will be able to demonstrate improvement in basic skill fundamentals and drills, game competitions, tournament play and individual practice.
