Profile of the Dean
The Master in Technology Management Program of the College of Industrial Technology was authorized to operate under BOT Resolution No. 44, series of 2009. The Program started to run in the Academic Year 2009-2010. Likewise, it was granted a Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) through COPC No. 148 series of 2021, effective Academic Year 2022-2023. Moreover, it passed the AACCUP Level 2 Re-accreditation effective September 16, 2018- September 15, 2022.
The Master in Technology Management Program of the College of Industrial Technology Department has been offered as part of the thrust of the College to provide quality and relevant advanced technology management education responsive to the emerging needs of the academe and industry both local and global.
The program was designed for the verticalization with the Doctor of Philosophy in Technology Management presently offered by the College and to produce competitive technology management educators, business and industrial managers who can effectively affect quality instructions and innovations to increase productivity
A graduate of Master in Technology Management (MTM) program should be able to:
1. To provide students with industrial knowledge, skills, techniques and recent approaches appropriate for technological responses, benefiting from rapid change and advancement
2. To develop capability in assessing technological change, foster innovations and development, and harnessing technology to increase productivity among technologist, specialist, industrial managers and technology educators; and
3. To develop the technological capability of technology educators, technologist, specialist and industrial managers in the technological and vocational schools, training institutes and premier industries both public and private.
AACCUP Level II
The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc. awarded the MTM program on December 14, 2018, with Level II re-accredited status with duration validity from September 16, 2018, to September 15, 2022.
COPC
The Master in Technology Management was issued Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) No. 148, Series of 2021 last March 25, 2022 by the Commission of Higher Education (CHED).
Enrollment Trend
In the last three (3) academic years, the MTM program has total enrollees of 47 students in the first semester and 41 students in the second semester for AY 2018-2019. There are 38 and 62 students respectively for the first and second semester of AY 2019-2020. For AY 2020-2021, there are a total of 58 students in the first semester and 41 students in the second semester respectively. For AY 2021-2022, there are 70 students in the first semester and 59 students in the second semester respectively.
ISO 9001:2015
The institution aims to achieve total quality in all areas of its operations. One of the initiatives the institution undertakes is subjecting its academic programs to an International Organization for Standardization (ISO) audit. Based on the external audit conducted last Nov. 15-16, 2021, the MTM program conformed to ISO 9001, 2015.
CURRICULUM
CMO 15 s. 2019, suggest 24 units of coursework and 6 units of Thesis Writing with a total of 30 units. The new MTM curriculum was 33 units of coursework and 6 units of Thesis writing with a total of 39 units. The additional nine (9) units are designed to enrich further the MTM students with needed competencies as technology managers in the future.
The curriculum of the Master of Technology Management is composed of fourteen (14) courses divided into Basic Course, Major Course, Cognate Course and Electives Courses. The program has also eight (8) Program’s Outcome which directs on how MTM graduates to achieve after finishing the program.
