To enhance faculty members’ performance development holistically, CHMSU designed and implemented the following programs or interventions:
The CHMSU Faculty and Staff Development Program (FSDP) is an initiative to support the professional development endeavors of the CHMSU faculty and staff. The program identifies the guidelines/criteria for the selection of the faculty members who intend to upgrade in terms of their professional expertise.
The University is also supportive of the research initiatives of the faculty members, and the FSDP allows other opportunities for the development of the faculty member in terms of support to their attendance at trainings, seminars, conferences, and other opportunities for growth and development
In addition, the faculty manual identifies the privileges which are available for the CHMSU members of the faculty of instruction.
The faculty members ensure that as part of their growth inside and outside of the academe, they also avail of membership in professional organizations in their field of expertise. As a member of the academic community who are mandated to deliver quality instruction, the faculty members' engagement into their professional organizations provide ample opportunity for exposure to global updates on their area of specialization, thereby ensuring that their skills and expertise as an academician are levelled up as well.
The core faculty members of the BSED program have the appropriate preparation for teaching in the program in terms of degree preparation, license and adequate academic advancement as well. This preparedness and adequacy is presented herein in the faculty matrix.
The faculty members are regularly monitored in their performance thru the faculty evaluation.
Thru the Faculty and Staff Development Program (FSDP), the faculty members are encouraged to pursue higher academic degrees relevant to their specialization. In addition, they are also given opportunities to attend trainings, seminars and conferences to further their interests aligned with their expertise.
The institution implements policies to be followed and adhered to by the faculty, such as submission of accomplishment report for faculty under the work-from-home scheme, and Daily Time Record for faculty with designation; submission of grades; preparation of instructional materials and syllabus.
