Using the National Restaurant Association's ProStart curriculum, and other industry resources, Cedar Hill High School Culinary Arts chef scholars spend four years in the classroom mastering the fundamental management and culinary skills needed for success. Students are trained on industry specific techniques, concepts and skills that may be applied in all aspects of the restaurant and food service industry.
The chef scholars also leave the program with applicable industry skills for employment, such as leadership, accountability, teamwork and responsibility . Those skills are not only valuable in the culinary arts world but can can be carried with them into positions in all industries. Our aspiring chefs also receive multiple industry level certifications upon completion of this program of study .
By overlapping the food service industry and the academic classroom, Cedar Hill High School Culinary Arts provides our chef scholars with an avenue to discover new interests and talents, opening doors for fulfilling careers.
