It is important to begin to prepare in sixth grade by achieving good grades, becoming involved in clubs and activities, following school rules, becoming a role model for other students, and tracking community service hours (work in which you don’t receive pay or other forms of compensation) in order to earn the recommendation of teachers and strengthen your chance to be selected.
