CHIS is a place where teachers grow. Whether you are newly qualified or a seasoned professional, you will find opportunities to develop, innovate, and lead.
Curriculum and Pedagogy
Teachers at CHIS work within a broad and balanced British-based curriculum. We expect lessons to be rigorous, imaginative, and student-centred. Our students are capable, curious, and eager to be stretched — making this a rewarding environment in which to teach.
Professional Development
We are firmly committed to professional growth. Staff benefit from:
Instructional coaching and mentoring from experienced colleagues.
Regular training workshops and CPD sessions.
Opportunities to attend conferences and network with colleagues across the HELP Education Group.
Clear pathways into leadership roles, supported by our in-house Leadership Matters training programme
Innovation and Agency
At CHIS, teachers are encouraged to bring ideas to life. Our current KS3 Innovation Challenge, for example sees staff and students co-creating new ways of teaching and learning, and we actively invite colleagues to pilot new initiatives, shape strategy, and make their mark.
In short, this is not a place where teachers simply deliver a syllabus. It is a school where educators are trusted, supported, and inspired to push the boundaries of what great teaching can achieve without the behavioural challenges or administrative burdens that teachers face in many other parts of the world.
