Dear Bidwell Jr. High 7th Grade Science Families,
Each school year, our Counseling Department prepares a presentation to address cyber safety and violence prevention. This year, we will present on Tuesday, October 21st, during your child's Science class. Our goal is to highlight the dangers and negative impacts that students may encounter on digital platforms and to offer resources for support. We will also discuss the differences between healthy and unhealthy interactions with peers, both in person and online, as well as how to properly report concerning behaviors.
If you would rather discuss these topics with your child and opt them out of attending the presentation, please let your child's Science teacher know by October 20th, 2025, and we will provide an alternate setting during that time. We will check in with each class before the presentation to accommodate any students who choose to opt out. A letter with more detailed information is linked below. If you would like to preview the presentation, a hard copy will be available at the front desk, and it is linked below for your review.
