Fall has officially arrived, so now it’s time to embrace the cooling weather and fun activities that come with the season.

The fall foliage is beautiful this time of year so soak it in with a hike! It is nice to get outside before it gets too cold. Some great hikes around Cheshire include Roaring Brooks Falls Trail and Sleeping Giant from Tuttle Avenue.

This time of year has an abundance of delicious treats, ranging from pumpkin spice to apples, cinnamon and so much more! A great local shop to get your hands on fresh donuts, pies, and other specialty treats is Old Bishop’s Farm. Lyman Orchards is another great shop if you are willing to take a longer drive.

The famously witch infested town is the perfect place for a spooky getaway, only around 3 hours away! There are many must-sees in the town, including The House of the Seven Gables, The Salem Witch Trials Memorial, the Witch House, the Statue of Elizabeth Montgomery, and the Old Burying Point.

A scary way to celebrate the Halloween season is to brave a haunted house! One close by is the Trail of Terror in Wallingford. It is open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in October!

The perfect conditions have come to apple pick! Cheshire has an abundance of farms for this fun activity, and some include Norton Brothers Fruit Farm, Hickory Hill Orchard, and Old Bishops Farm.
