On Wednesday, the Girls' Soccer team concluded their regular season with an unbeaten record of 15-0-1 after a tie against Sacred Heart Academy. In addition, the Rams tied their record of 15 wins in a single season. They also set the school record for most consecutive wins. The Rams earned the #1 rank in Connecticut for girls' soccer. A tremendous achievement for this Rams squad.

"The last time we won 15 games was when our coach was a player here at CHS, which is just so crazy to think about. But being a part of such a historic season has been the most thrilling experience. We talk about leaving a legacy here, and I feel like we're doing it. We've all worked so hard, and I'm so proud of what we have done this year." Said Senior Captain Gabby Tirado, when asked about what this season has meant to her.

The girls have been a dominant offensive team this season. They do a great job of controlling possessions and keeping the opposing defenses on their heels. The Rams scored 76 goals throughout their 16 games. That is over four goals per game.

The dynamic duo of Senior Captains Gabby Tirado and Anna Hurlbut has led the way for the Rams in this regard. These two have been electrifying on the field all season long. Playing together at the varsity level since freshman year, Anna and Gabby's chemistry on the pitch is unmatched.

Gabby has put together an incredible regular season. Gabby has scored 23 goals in her 16 games played. She has also helped share the wealth, dishing out 12 assists to her teammates. Every time you see Gabby create separation, you know she will make something happen.

Anna has been the backbone of the team. The Quinnipiac Soccer commit scored 15 goals along with eight assists for the year. But what goes unseen on the stat sheet is Anna's hustle and grit on the field. Everywhere you look, Anna is there making an impact on the play, whether scraping with an opponent for the ball or chasing down a loose ball.

Cheshire now sets their sights on their SCC Quarter Finals matchup against 8th seed Sacred Heart Academy. This game is incredibly personal for the Rams, as Sacred Heart kept the girls from going a perfect 16-0.

"This matchup on Saturday is the most important game for us, and it's a must-win game, or we don't move on. We are coming back fired up and ready and we are prepared to show everyone what we are made of. Sharks for dinner Saturday, that's for sure." Said Anna on the matchup with Sacred Heart.

The girls will play at 1:30 PM this Saturday at home, so be there to support them!
