Is Lululemon Worth the hype?

Everyone knows the famous brand Lululemon; “Lulu.” Each year it becomes more and more popular. From leggings to water bottles, you name it and Lulu has it! This brand has many colors and patterns for all types of clothing (personally I enjoy wearing their more athletic based clothing items). Their shorts come in so many fun colors and in different lengths.

The issue I and many other people have with Lulu is the price tag. $68 for a pair of shorts is excessive, but the shorts are made with material that lasts. I have had shorts for years, and even have hand-me-downs from girls who are probably in their 20’s that still fit and are wearable to this day. They obviously have sales, and they even have a section on their website and app that's called “We Made Too Much” which sells the clothing they have too much of at a discounted price.

Another issue many have with the store is the sizing. Lulu is for both men and women, but the clothing fits best on petite people. It is known to run small and have slimmer cuts. Sometimes the materials do not last as long if they are the wrong size. I know the leggings start to pill around your thighs if they are too tight because the fabric rubs together. Do not waste $90 on a pair of leggings that are not the right fit for you just to have a pair. If you have the money to afford it, and know it is the right fit for you then buy it! These prices increase quickly, and buying stuff just to buy it doesn’t do anything for you.

My final issue with Lululemon is how sold out the website always is. I have been on that website, and everytime I go on, the items I want to buy are sold out. They never have every item available which obviously happens sometimes, but then they are not in stock for at least two months after. Along with that, those items are not even available in the stores either. Since they cannot keep their items in stock it makes it so much harder to shop!

I would say Lululemon has a good selection of clothing and accessories, but research before you buy. If you do not know your size you can always ship it back, or try it on in the store.
