When it comes to family gatherings, nothing brings everyone to the table faster than a game of UNO. This game has become a staple holiday tradition in many households, but there is a way to make it more interesting. Try out some of these 7 new rules!
Stacking: multiple cards with the same number can all be played.
Draw until you can or choose to play: Don’t have a card to put down? Keep drawing from the pile until you can or choose to play.
Rotate cards when 0 is played: If a zero is played, give your cards to the person playing after you (or in whatever direction the game is going in).
Silent 7: If a seven is played, everyone must be silent until the next seven is played. If you talk, you must draw one card.
Floor 5: If a five is played, that person gets to decide who sits on the floor. They can get back up when they play a five or when another player plays a five and chooses someone else to sit on the floor.
+2 Red: If a red plus-two is played, rather than the person next drawing two cards, you can choose any other player to draw two. This can only be countered by another red plus-two card.
Safe 2: If a two is played, that person is immune to all plus’s, skips, or to any of the rules above, until someone else plays a two then safe two is switched to that player.
So the next time you decide to play UNO, try out some of our new rules, and see who becomes the UNO champion of the day.
Happy playing!
