The first three months of 2024 have been hectic for Great Britain's Royal Family. The reigning monarchs, King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla, were officially crowned in May of 2023. So, the two are rapidly approaching their first year on the throne, however another member of the Royal Family has held the public's attention, Catherine, Princess of Wales.

King Charles is currently seventy five years old, and declining in health. On February fifth the King's cancer diagnosis was revealed to the public. This came following a prostate procedure a little more than a week previous. At the time, the Place stated that the procedure was for a non-cancerous condition, but in this procedure another issue arose that was cancerous. His cancer is not prostate cancer, the type he is fighting has not been revealed publicly. King Charles has begun treatment and during this time had postponed his public activities. After this news was released King Charles began raising awareness about cancer, something he also did earlier in his career. For his first major event since this diagnosis, King Charles attended an Easter Service at Windsor Castle.

On January 17th, the Palace revealed that Princess Catherine had a successful surgery on her abdomen and on January twenty ninth she returned home from the hospital. Following the surgery announcement Catherine was not seen in public for a lengthy span of time, leading to the media and public having some questions. People were wondering where the Princess was, and many made up outlandish theories on the topic. A photo was then released of Princess Catherine and her three children, George, Charlotte, and Louis, with multiple editing errors. This photo was then withdrawn, and a statement was released on March tenth that stated Princess Catherine edited the photo. Catherine, facing a multitude of backlash and theories on her disappearance, finally released a video explanation. On March 22nd she said that tests following her surgery in January revealed cancer. The Princess is currently in treatment with preventive chemotherapy. On Easter Sunday, Princess Catherine and her husband, Prince William, were absent from the service at Windsor Castle.

Hope and well wishes have flooded the internet for these two suffering monarchs. Hopefully they both have full recoveries, and all is well for the rest of the year!
