Emma S The Culinary Institute of America Review Located in Hyde Park, New York, the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) is a beautiful college on the Hudson River featuring gorgeous scenery, with 170 acres of breathtaking trees and architecture. The CIA offers a variety of degrees, which include master's, bachelor's, associate's, and certificates, in order to suit each applicant. The Institute focuses on higher education in the line of food, however, hospitality and business are also taught to provide as many opportunities as possible for students.

On my visit, I enjoyed lunch at Ristorante Caterina de’ Medici, one of six restaurants on the campus. Authentic Italian cuisine is served in a three-course meal meticulously crafted by the students and staff at the Institute. To add, the waiters are attentive and willing to answer questions regarding the college.  The menu is modified to reflect the in-season produce, so it changes fairly often. As a part of the curriculum, students take turns serving and cooking at the unique restaurants offered at the CIA.

In the graduating class of 2022, every single student who was looking for employment gained it. The CIA makes a great day trip, I would recommend visiting a restaurant and walking around the campus. For people interested in the culinary field or business management in restaurants, the Culinary Institute of America is a wonderful opportunity to continue your education.
