With the 63rd Grammy Awards airing on March 14, 2021, there were many excited fans from all corners of the music industry. A notable argument was between Taylor Swift and Harry Styles fans, there were many debates on who would take home Best Pop Vocal Album. Although the award went to Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia, Swift received a much deserved win for Album of the Year, for her critically acclaimed album folklore (released in July of 2020). She broke the record for being the first female artist to win album of the year 3 separate times.

Another aspect that excited fans was her performance of a medley of songs from her two newest albums folklore and evermore. With this comes the question that's always on her fans’ minds, what secret messages is she hinting at for what’s to come next? Here are a few notably easter eggs from the night’s events.

Throughout her performance there seemed to be several nods at her past albums. She begins the performance laying down with a camera above her head, slowly zooming out, with which fans made the comparison to a similar shot in her iconic music video for Look What You Made Me Do.

The camera zooms out further to reveal she is on the roof of a cabin in the forest, which of course represents the magical world that is folklore. Viewers also thought the cabin looked very similar to the attic in Swift’s music video for Lover. Taylor additionally gave a small nod to Speak Now when she twirled her flowy dress very similarly to the album cover.

Lastly, fans were shocked to see Swift and Styles having what seemed to be a pleasant conversation for the first time on camera since 2013; fans have speculated about their very short relationship for quite some time. Since Taylor has announced she will be rerecording her old music in order to have full ownership of her own work, many have been left wondering what changes she might make.

So of course fans but two and two together, wondering about the possibility of a collaboration between the two artists. Many songs from 1989 have been thought to be written about Harry, such as Out of the Woods, Wildest Dreams, Style, and I Know Places. This raises the question, will Harry be featured on one or more of these songs? This might be a stretch, but these days Taylor doesn’t seem to stop coming out with surprises.
