A couple weeks ago Sabrina Carpenter released her newest EP entitled “Fruitcake."  This EP is focused on a wintery Christmas feel, and features a Christmas remix of her hit song, “Nonsense” as the first song on the tracklist. Here’s some of my thoughts on the songs she’s released:

"A Nonsense Christmas": I love the spin on Nonsense; the references are cute and it keeps the original feel of the song with just some added festivity.

"Buy Me Presents": I think this song has a very stereotypical modern Christmas sound. It feels straight out of a Hallmark Christmas movie. It sounds like you’d hear it playing in a mall, but that's not a bad thing; it’s like a turn off your brain song.

"Santa Doesn’t Know You Like I Do": I love how calming this song feels, and I also love the backtrack.

"Cindy Lou Who": This song takes on a slower sadder feel. It is shorter than all of the others but it still hits hard, and is one of my favorites off of the EP.

"Is It New Year’s Yet?":  When listening to the EP in order you have a big jump in feels from “Cindy Lou Who” to “Is it New Years yet?” opening with an upbeat sound. This song is fast and catchy; easy to get stuck into your head. “Is it New Year's Yet?” is another one of my favorites off of the album.

"White XMas": This is Sabrina’s own cover on the Christmas classic “White Christmas.”

I loved this EP; all of the songs were amazing. My two favorites were “Cindy Lou Who” and “Is it New Year's Yet?” I’d highly recommend taking a moment and listening to this amazing release by Sabrina Carpenter.
