On August 24th, the Arctic Monkeys announced their new album The Car. Formed in 2002, the band has acclimated a substantial fan base. They’ve released 6 albums since 2005, and this will be their 7th.

The album will be released on October 21st, with a tracklist of 10 songs. In order, they’re named, “There’d Better Be A Mirrorball”, “I Ain’t Quite Where I Think I Am”, “Sculptures Of Anything Goes”, “Jet Skis On The Moat”, “Body Paint”, “The Car”, “Big Ideas”, “Hello You”, “Mr. Schwartz”, and “Perfect Sense”.

Two songs, “There’d Better Be A Mirrorball” and “Body Paint”, have already been released. They sound similar to the band’s most recent album, Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, and are overall very good songs.

If you’re not a fan of the Arctic Monkeys, now would be a good time to listen to them. You might know them from their popular songs “Do I Wanna Know?” and “505”, however, they’re much more than that. They have a wide range of songs, varying from “basement” recorded-sounding tracks to indie rock.

Their new album is likely to receive a lot of attention, and being a part of it will be very exciting. It releases at the end of this month, and everyone is very excited to see what it holds.
