Makerspace with Mrs. Zetoff

The Makerspace movement within education allows for students to develop interests in innovative ways while, simultaneously, exploring new opportunities in a warm and supporting environment. In order to draw meaning from the Makerspace activities, the students tap into the Design Thinking Process, utilizing previously learned steps while they tackle curriculum related tasks. Monthly Makerspace days in the library are a favorite amongst the students, as they plan, create, communicate, collaborate and problem solve one challenge at a time.

STEAM

Science - Technology - Engineering - Art - Math

Each month, Makerspace consists of challenges and activities that connect with the current season, holiday, events, celebrations and/or curriculum. All areas of STEAM are incorporated with thoughtful consideration to provide students with the opportunity to communicate and collaborate with others while challenging themselves in new and innovative ways.

Lots of smiling faces on Makerspace Days!
