PBIS - POWER and ROAR

PBIS (School-Wide Positive Behavior System) POWER AND ROAR – We believe in mutual trust, respect, listening, and understanding from all learners as well as ourselves. We want to encourage students to feel successful and safe in the classroom. We will lead by example and maintain a positive role as a facilitator and educator in the classroom.

As a class, we will set norms we agree on together to ensure respect, accountability, caring, perseverance, achievement, citizenship, teamwork, and safety. As a school and in the classroom, we will focus on building student’s POWER- Persistence, Optimism, We are Flexible, Empathy and Resilience!

In addition to POWER, we have introduced a school wide common language around student expectations.

ROAR- Responsible, Own it!, Attitude, Relationships! These words will help all staff and students speak to these expectations throughout the entire building.
