Originally hailing from Illinois, I began my academic journey at the University of Iowa before transferring to DePaul University in Chicago. There I earned my teaching license in Elementary Education with additional endorsements in Art and Social Studies. Despite my brief time at Iowa, I am an unwavering Hawkeye football fan. Go Hawks!

Outside of the classroom, I share my life with my partner Jed. We are the proud parents of a 1 year old, Liam, and two wonderful step-teenagers, Addy & Tyler. Our furry companions, Ajax, a goofy golden retriever, and Dorian, a grouchy but loveable senior cat complete our lively family.

In my free time, you will find me engaging in one of my cherished "granny hobbies"—gardening, knitting, or baking. These activities not only bring me joy, but they also afford me invaluable opportunities to exercise my creativity and unwind after a fulfilling day of shaping young minds.

With a remarkable 10 years in the teaching profession, I have had the privilege of instructing various grade levels, spanning from Middle School to 3rd grade. However, I am thrilled to embark on a new chapter in my career, joining the 5th Grade Team at Coyote Hills for my fifth year in this transitional and formative stage.
