Italy is a country in Europe. It is located south of the Alps, on the Apennine Peninsula. It includes the two largest islands in the Mediterranean - Sicily and Sardinia, and much smaller in the Tyrrhenian and Adriatic Seas. Its area is 301 338 km², of which 7200 km² is water area.

Befana -It is about a character whose appearance is of an older woman with a broom in her hand, who walks the streets, handing out toys and sweets to children on January 6, during the Epiphany. The legend of this hero confirms that the three wise men, during their journey to see the baby Jesus and led by the Star of Bethlehem, came across a traveling lady when they got lost on the road. The lady kindly offered to help them and gave them instructions. The Magi invited her to travel with them, but the woman claimed she was very busy with her housework, so she declined the invitation.

The Sanremo Italian Song Festival, better known as the Sanremo Festival, is a music festival held annually in Sanremo, Italy since 1951. Almost all famous Italian singers and composers from pop music have participated and continue to take part in it. It is one of the most important musical events for both Italy and abroad, as it is broadcast live on television and radio, as well as at the Eurovision Song Contest, in which the winner from Sanremo represents Italy. The festival until 2016 inclusive has a total of 66 editions.
