Assessment for All Faculty

Every faculty member is responsible for teaching to and assessing mastery of the learning outcomes listed in the course description for each course they teach. Course outcomes for credit courses appear at the top of course descriptions in the current year college catalog. For non-credit course descriptions and learning outcomes, email Tim Pierce, Curriculum Coordinator.

Every faculty member is also responsible for administering any assessments their academic program/discipline has decided to use for its unit-level outcomes assessment plan.

Assessment for All Academic Units

Every academic unit sets up a plan for unit-level outcomes assessment following the LOAC guidelines, summarized here:

All faculty need to teach to and assess learning of all outcomes listed for a course in the college catalog. Each individual academic unit with full time faculty also need to choose outcomes to assess for the unit for unit-level discussion and planning. The unit assessment activities are documented in assessment plans, annual unit plans, program reviews, and the college's year 3 and year 7 accreditation reports.
