Year 9: In the first year students receive one theory lesson and one practical lesson. We cover topics such 'Health, Fitness and Well-being', 'Socio-cultural Influences' and 'Physical Training' in the theory classes.
Year 10: In the second year students receive two theory lessons and one practical lesson. We cover the large topic of 'Anatomy and Physiology' as well as conducting the Personal Exercise Programme (PEP).
Year 11: In the final year students receive two theory lessons and one practical lesson. We cover 'Sports Psychology' and 'Movement Analysis' in the theory lessons. As well as concentrating on exam technique and revision.

Studying GCSE PE is the first step on the way to developing a rewarding career in Sport.
There are hundreds of possibilities available to young people who are passionate about Health, Sport, Exercise and Fitness.
The next step would be to study Sport at A-Level here at Chelsea Academy.
