This was one of my favorite projects I have ever worked on. It was challenging to coordinate plans with the skaters and invent flight patterns I could use to highlight what they were doing. I plan on doing more with skateboarding in the future.
This was from a trip to The Knolls with Haven Ruiz. It was great practice for me chasing subjects. It also gave me a lot of respect for him and other riders who speed through the desert like this! The terrain is very unpredictable and it looked very difficult.
My friend Matt Meibos who I actually knew in high school invited me to fly around him at the point of the mountain recently. It was an extremely difficult session because of the overcast lighting and high winds. But I had a great time!
