The drones I use are called FPV (first person view) drones. In the image to the left you can see the goggles I wear to see the perspective of the drone. There are two cameras on the drone. One for capturing HD footage, and one to transmit analog footage back to my goggles. This enables the pilot to fly in ways that are otherwise impossible with a DJI style drone. Another benefit of using drones like this is the durability. Because the top speed of this drone is about 100 miles per hour, the frame needs to be extremely durable. This allows me to fly without fear of breaking my investment.
There are various FPV drone types. The one shown in the image above is my long range drone which is used in landscape and mountain range flying because of its long flight times. The one shown to the left is a cinewhoop which is used for cinematic footage because of its propeller shrouds which protect against injury and give smooth flight dynamics. There is one other drone I use regularly which is a racing drone. It is very nimble and fast and is what I use typically when I am following high speed targets or doing lots of flips.
