Welcome to the Changemakers Project Hub! This is your family’s one-stop shop for everything related to each service project.
Here you’ll find project details and instructions, registration links with shift sign-ups, and helpful tips to prepare your scholar. After each project, you can also upload photos and memories and complete a short reflection activity.
We encourage all Changemaker families to use this hub as your go-to resource. It’s designed to make participating simple, fun, and meaningful—so your scholar can focus on serving, learning, and leading with kindness.
Project Details
Project Date: Thursday, November 20 | 4:00 – 5:30/5:45-ish PM (the week before Tgiving breakl) - 2 Service Hours
Project 4 is here — and it’s all about leading with kindness and giving back as we head into the holiday season! Though this is our December project, activities will take place before Thanksgiving break so our contributions can reach families and seniors in time for the holidays.
Project registration will open Fri, Nov 14 - Tues, Nov 18.
Be sure to talk with your Changemakers about the "heart behind the project!"
Project Day Activities — Thurs, Nov. 20
A light snack - i.e. typically Lunchable, Fruit Snacks, water - will be provided to all scholar attendees. If your scholar cannot have any of these items, please advise ASAP!
PreK – 2nd Grade: Decorate holiday letters from our AVID classes for families in need and for our GrandFriends. Parents are required to attend with their scholars. Parents will need to pick up their PreK-2nd grade scholar as they do each day and bring them to the project location to check in with them. NO. EXCEPTIONS.
Safety Reminder: PreK–2nd grade scholars must be accompanied by a VOLY APPROVED parent or designated adult guardian (18+) during the project. Older siblings or after-school programs (such as Right at School) do not fulfill this supervision requirement. If another Changemaker parent will serve as the supervising adult, this must be noted on your registration form in advance. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to coordinate and confirm these arrangements directly with the other family. Changemakers leadership will not facilitate or monitor supervision exchanges.
3rd – 5th Grade: Sort, inventory, and pack food and winter accessory donations. While parents are not required to attend, they are encouraged to still come out and take part. We will work with the front office to have all REGISTERED Changemakers released to the project location at the end of the school day.
Scholar Pick Up. Please be on campus to pick up your scholar by 5:30pm. Please park and COME INSIDE to pick up your scholar. We may run until around 5:45pm, depending on how quickly we get things packed.
Reflection Activity. Please plan to complete the Reflection Activity by Sat, 11/22.
