3D Modeling & Animation Reflections
Year-Year
Year-Year
I took this class because I have always been interested in modeling and designing stuff on the computer. I also wanted to learn how to maneuver through the computer. And learn the more advanced parts of a PC. I can also bring my imagination to life. If I think of a dragon destroying a castle, after some time, I will be able to bring my imagination to life.
What I expect to get out of this class, is an opportunity to get a job right out of High School. I don't really know what I want to do after High School so if I pass the CERT exam, it will be a great opportunity to get a job right out of High School. I also want to become a better storyteller. I also want to build a portfolio and if I chose to continue on this path, learn to be better.

Quarter One Reflection
11/3/25
In this quarter we have learned a lot. To start the year, we learned about how to navigate through the UI of 3DS MAX. After that, we quickly moved into creating stuff with primitives. This was a challenge because of the speed at which we were accelerating, but I dealt with this obstacle by replaying and studying the brain buffet until I understood what we were supposed to be doing. Some of the problems that I faced were getting used to modifiers and snapping items together. But I quickly adapted to my problems by looking around for help. In conclusion, we have learned a lot in quarter one, and we will continue to learn and grow with our projects.
In module five, we learned a lot about rendering. Rendering is a preview of what the saved image profile would look like, but you can go back and edit it and re render. We also learned about the different types of renders. And render settings.
I will use this when I need to see what the saved file will look like. And this will help when we need to look ahead and see what we need to fix. These skills will be needed on the CERT and PBM. When needing to look ahead, this tool will be very helpful. In conclusion, this tool will be very helpful and will serve as a great option to help with our modeling.
In module six, we learned how to use UVW's and Materials. This is very helpful for when you want something to look like a real world object, but is very complicated to create. We used the physical material to help us apply a wood texture to a plane. This helped it look more realistic and a lot more complex. Even though it was just a plane.
In the future, this will be very helpful to use so that we can make certain parameters look like specific things in the real world. For example, if we wanted to make a sphere look like a special orb, we can place a physical material on the sphere, it can make it look very similar to the orb. Without having to apply a lot of modifiers or animations.
