I chose to do the "Chaos in the Lab" prompt in a Mouthwashing (horror game) style of sorts. If this was part of an actual game, I'd use it as the introduction to the playable character, like an opening sequence. I wouldn't call this character completely "original", because it is definitely highly based on Frankenstein's monster design-wise. It's also based off of Frankenstein's monster in the way that the story told through it is of a man-made creation becoming self-aware and wanting more from the life it's been forced to live.
I feel like The Monster will need the most attention, for obvious reasons; being that it needs to be rigged, but the gurney also seems like it might need some extra care, as well as the light bulb. They seem like they'd be the most difficult to model, one; because they're detailed, and two; because they aren't things I've really every modeled before.
The whole gimmick with this character (The Monster) is that it doesn't have a personality yet. Its just become aware, and its trying to figure out both itself and the (small) world around it. It's an unfinished painting. The scene around The Monster is small, cramped, meant to make the player/viewer feel slightly claustrophobic and dirty. It's a small, circular, seemingly makeshift Lab, filled with mess and clutter, with things placed haphazardly on the floor and across tables and any available surface with the main focus (The Monster) in the middle in sort of a spotlight.
For camera placement, I'm going to have one blink-zooming in on The Monster from the front, and one for a behind shot once The Monster sits up. Another for a close-up when The Monster gets electrocuted for a second time, the main focus being the neck bolts. I'm not quite sure how the environment supports the "flow" of my cut-scene, but I feel like it creates a sort of visual spiral that leads the viewers' eyes to the main focus (The Monster).
