Tourism

From intense sports to family friendly activities, we have it all!

Winter

You can downhill ski and snowboard at the Phoenix Mountain Ski Area, a short distance  from Greenwood. Cross-country ski or snowshoe the trails at Marshall Lake or try the Trans Canada Trail right in town.  Snowmobile in the surrounding hills.

For the anglers, Jewel Lake and Wilgress Lake are favourite spots  for ice-fishing!

Spring, Summer and Fall

Enjoy camping, golfing, hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing, and bird watching. Our outdoor swimming pool is open during the summer monthstennis court, baseball diamonds, and many recreational parks all await for a fun place to gather.

Our annual Founder’s Day Celebration in July is a popular 2 day event.   A  variety of vendors, entertainment, food booths and Saturday morning parade make a weekend full of excitement for the whole family.

Did you know that the longest trail in the world, the Trans Canada Trail, comes through Greenwood?  Easily accessible across one of three bridges over Boundary Creek.

Summer is also a great time to explore our rich mining and forestry history.

Greenwood is  home to some great artists: wood carvers, painters, musicians and jewelry makers.

Did you know we have a walking tour?
