The purpose of the Archives as part of the Greenwood Heritage Society is to acquire, preserve and make accessible records of archival value to the City of Greeenwood and the Greenwood Mining Division, including areas of Eholt, Jewel Lake, Phoenix, Beaverdell-Carmi, Big White & Christian Valley including Rock Creek & Bridesville.

Our Archival collection includes a broad range of resources including historic photographs, local newspapers, microfilm, maps, family/private fonds, mining company fonds, City Assessment & other City records, Japanese-Canadian fonds, scrapbooks, audio-visual materials & numerous citizens files. There is also a small library of mainly mining resources and reference files on various subjects related to Greenwood. Records date from the 1890's to present. Databases include Photograph collection, WWII Japanese-Canadian families interned, Phoenix births, former & recent Boundary area citizens death records.
