Disney Trip Q & A:
Q- On the itinerary, are those activities/shows going to be the Fast Pass items?
A- The activities on the itinerary are suggested. we will not go to ALL of them, however as a group we will see some.
Q- Can we pay in full?
A- Yes you can. please pay using family and friends method so we dont have to charge a fee.
Q- For the Saturday workshop, are other schools/groups joining in?
A- No in the past it was just our students attending the Saturday workshop
Q- How much free time (if Any) in the parks will be allowed? Or is everyone to stay as a group throughout the park?
A- Everyone is supposed to stay in small groups in the parks. They cannot go off by themselves. So the small groups can decide what their game plan for each park day is.
Q- Lodging, who is making up the room assignments?
A- In the past I have, I take in consideration the "friend groups" as much as possible.
Q- How do I pay for the trip?
A- Use Paypay to pay, soa dance booster club remember to use family and friend setting.
Q- how do I know how many spots are available?
A- An email will be sent out on June 20th to remind 11th and 10th graders it is open to pay deposit and how many spots are available. Also check the tab above to check updated trip list.

At resort check in, each dancer will be given a “Key to the World” card that will function as a room key. Each student will have their own card, allowing them to access their rooms when needed.
Tickets & Vouchers:
On the morning of Day 2, each dancer will be given 2 meal vouchers and their 4 day Disney parks ticket. On the mornings of Days 3 - 5, the dancers will be given two meal vouchers each day. The meal vouchers are 6.5” x 3.” The park ticket and room key are similar to a gift card in size and material. It will be required each day for entry to the parks. If this ticket is misplaced, the dancer will not be able to enter the park or their room. Please make sure your dancer has some sort of secure bag to put these in. This bag will be searched upon entry to each park each day so less is more. Also, they will be responsible for it at all times. There is no place to leave it while at the parks. Fanny packs or small backpacks are a good option.
Itinerary:
Day 1 TUESDAY - TRAVEL DAY - Arrive at Charleston Amtrak station @ 4:00am. Travel to Orlando on the 4:56am Train #97. Arrive at Kissimmee Amtrak station @ 1:38pm. 24 Passenger Minibus to Pop Century. Check in & unpack. Kick off pizza party @ 7:30pm. Movie night at the Hippy Dippy Pool - Tangled @ 8:30pm. Lights out @ 10:30pm.
Day 2 WEDNESDAY - MAGIC KINGDOM - Wake up time @ 7am. Magic Kingdom opens at 8:30am and closes at 10:00pm. Lights out @ 10:30pm.
Day 3 THURSDAY - ANIMAL KINGDOM - Wake up time @ 7am. Animal Kingdom opens at 8:30am and closes at 7:00pm. Optional Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom begins at 4pm and ends at 12am. Lights out @10:30pm.
Day 4 FRIDAY - HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS - Wake up time @ 7am. Hollywood Studios opens at 8:30am and closes at 9pm. Lights out @ 10:00pm.
Day 5 SATURDAY - EPCOT - Wake up time @ 8:30am. Epcot opens at 8:30am and closes at 9:00pm.
Dance Disney Workshop - A Workshop in Studio B - Backstage Area of Epcot. Arrive by 1:45 to Workshop with escort from Disney.
PRIVATE PARTY - Mickey Dessert Party @ 7:45pm - Germany Promenades A & B. Private firework viewing of Harmonious. Lights out @ 10:30pm.
Day 6 SUNDAY - TRAVEL DAY - Wake up @ 8:00 am. Breakfast @ 9:00am at resort food court. 24 Passenger Minibus from Pop Century to Kissimmee Amtrak station at 10:45am. Travel back to Charleston. Arrive @ 9:25pm.
Food:
You can pack snacks for the train ride on Tuesday. Amtrak does have a cafe car in which dancers can purchase a meal. Meals on the train are the responsibility of the dancer. On Tuesday evening, pizza will be provided at the resort.
Food vouchers will be given to each dancer for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday. Each dancer will get two Quick Service meal vouchers per day. Each voucher includes one entrée, one side item and one drink. The third meal of the day will be the responsibility of the dancer along with any snacks or desserts.

In addition, each dancer will receive a Disney Mug. These are 16oz refillable mugs that can be used at all resorts on property and are valid for the entire stay. Unlimited drink options include fountain drinks, coffee and tea.

Please limit luggage to one suitcase and two personal items (purse, backpack).

To Discuss:
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party: Magic Kingdom at 4pm on Thursday, October 20th and it usually goes until 12am. Tickets with tax are $169.34. If interested, money is due September 15, 2022 to SOA Dance Booster Club.
If your dancer has an active MagicBand, their ticket can be linked to their Disney account and used in place of the park ticket.
Rules & Expectations of the Trip:
Students will stay with their group at all times.
Once we leave the hotel as a group, you will not be able to return until we all return as a group. Make sure you have everything before leaving.
Students will adhere to curfew regulations. Once lights are out (bedtime), you are not allowed to leave your room unless it is an emergency and you inform a chaperone.
Students will follow all directions, rules and regulations established by the teachers and chaperones both prior to and during the trip.
Students must obey all lodging policies, understanding that any damage to property will be the responsibility of the parties involved.
Students will demonstrate courteous behavior, represent SOA in a positive way, have a positive attitude and show respect for all people & property.
Students of the opposite sex will not be in one another’s rooms for any reason.
Students will not be involved in any way with cigarettes, vapes, alcohol, illegal drugs, vandalism, theft, inappropriate reading or viewing material, sexual type behaviors, or any other type of inappropriate behavior. For the purposes of safety and security, staff reserve the right to inspect any student bags before or during the trip.
Teachers may add additional rules specific to each trip. All class/teacher rules apply.
