Students with schedule course errors can have corrections made to their schedule. These corrections will take place during the first 5 days of a block class, and within the first 10 days of a skinny (yearlong) class. Teacher preference requests will not be granted. Schedule changes can not always be made due to availability course offering and schedule conflicts. School Counselors will notify students when the error in a schedule has been corrected. Students should check thier student email as a form of contact from the school counselor in this process.
All students classified as 12th grade in Powerschool, or this is the student's 4th year in high school, will need to meet with their school counselor, and have a scheduled IGP Meeting (Indivdual Graduation Plan) to discuss requirements of credits, courses, and CCR needs.
A student must be classified as 12th grade at the beginning of the school year and complete an Early-Out/Late-In Form. 4th year students should have a minimum of 5 credits scheduled during the 4th/12th grade year. The student must meet with their school counselor to confirm the student's schedule permits early out or late in. The student must have completed or have all their graduation required courses on their graduation year schedule. 12th grade students must be or actively work towards CCR (College and Career Ready) in order to be eligible for an early out or late in. If a student receives a 50-59 in a required course(s), they are then eligible to complete a credit recovery course if offered for that course. If the student receives below a 50 on the course or the course is not offered for credit recovery, they must retake the entire course and pass in order to be eligible for graduation. The student, parent, and administrator will have a graduation credit deficiency meeting to determine plan of action to meet graduation requirements by that year's graduation deadline.
We have school based mental health providers through a in-school referral process, a student can be recommended for services. Please reach out to the students school counselor to discuss a referreal mental health services.
Students each year in high school are required to meet a minium number of credits and take core courses that assist in being promoted to the next grade level. For information about grade level classification, go to the Student Resources page form more details.
