Explore Brussels with the JICHS IB Programme
May 29 - June 5, 2026
Join us on an unforgettable educational journey to Brussels!
Step into the heart of Europe where politics, art, and innovation converge, and experience Brussels not just as travelers—but as global citizens. This IB student trip, organized by CAS Trips, offers an immersive and transformative experience diving into Belgian culture, sustainability, creativity, and civic engagement.
On this trip, students will:
Wander the cobbled streets of Brussels’ historic city center and take a guided walking tour through its architectural marvels and hidden gems.
Visit iconic landmarks like the Atomium and discover how they reflect Belgium’s fusion of past, present, and future.
Roll up your sleeves for hands-on workshops in Belgian chocolate making and comic art — two traditions uniquely Belgian, and perfect for exploring creativity in local context.
Participate in engaging service initiatives such as plastic fishing, city clean-ups, waste reduction challenges, and tree planting with partner organizations like the Jane Goodall Institute. These activities let students meaningfully contribute to sustainability, biodiversity, and social justice goals.
Collaborate on a Sustainable Design Challenge, exploring how innovation, design thinking, and ecological responsibility intersect in real-world solutions.
Explore the Design Museum and engage in creative analysis of form, function, and cultural context.
Join a comics-themed scavenger hunt to connect with Brussels’ rich comic art heritage (Tintin, The Smurfs, and more!) in a playful, exploratory way.
Reflect and discuss how this journey aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, deepening students’ global awareness and sense of purpose.
All along, CAS Trips ensures alignment with IB values: integrating creativity, activity, and service (CAS) into meaningful hands-on learning experiences. This isn’t just a sightseeing trip — it’s a chance to grow, connect, and contribute.
