Program Schedule

When do students receive their Strings instruction?

Students in Kindergarten through 5th Grades will receive Strings instruction twice a week.

Kindergarten through 3rd Grades Young Strings Lessons:

• One lesson will take place during their homeroom class’ scheduled Spanish time.

• The second lesson will be scheduled during the week and shared with parents after registration closes. Parent participation during lessons is preferred, but not mandatory.

4th & 5th Grade Beginner Orchestra:

• One lesson will take place during their homeroom class’ scheduled Spanish time.

• An additional lesson will take place on Wednesdays at 2:40 PM.

4th & 5th Grade Advanced Orchestra (students with at least one year of ARCAE Strings experience):

• Lessons on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:40 PM.

• Advanced Orchestra is a performing group.

Please Note:
Students enrolled in Strings will not receive Spanish instruction at ARCAE. This change allows more academic instructional time for all students and daily recess/playtime with same-age peers for all students.

What instruments can my student play? 

Students in Kindergarten through 3rd Grades  play the violin.

Students in 4th and 5th Grades register to play the violin, viola, or cello.
