We are excited to welcome award-winning author Stephen Kelman, to school on Tuesday 3rd March, 15:30–16:30, Sixth Form Studio.
Kelman will be talking about real-world issues that affect everyone: how stories shape the way we see society, why having a voice matters, and how creative thinking helps people challenge ideas, understand different perspectives, and make sense of a complex world. In a time when freedom, democracy, and open debate are increasingly under pressure, independent thinking and creative voices are more vital than ever.
Kelman’s work explores themes such as identity, social justice, and growing up in modern Britain. Whether you’re interested in media, politics, psychology, social issues, or simply understanding how people and society work, this talk will offer something relevant. It’s an opportunity to hear from someone who uses creativity to engage with real-world problems and experiences.
